BIIS - Banca Infrastrutture Innovazione e Sviluppo

BIIS is the bank of the Intesa Sanpaolo group specialized in finance for infrastructure and public sector. It has a leadership position in Italy and a growing presence in other countries.

BIIS has the mission of supporting development and economic growth in the countries where it operates, by promoting public-private partnerships, in particular in the following sectors: infrastructure, healthcare, public utility services, central and local government financing, urban development and projects of public interest at local level, introduction of innovative solutions for facilitating efficient management of banking services by Public entities.

Intesa Sanpaolo is the second largest Italian banking group with total assets of 636 billion Euros as of 31 December 2008. Among others, it launched the first public-private fund: Fondo PPP Italia.
