Founded in 2007 in Milan, Metroweb manages one of the largest metropolitan access fibre-optic infrastructure network in Europe, with more than 7.200 km of cables and 3.200 km of infrastructure.

Metroweb’s network is extended mainly across the metropolitan area of Milan (and partially in the Lombardy region), one of the first cities in the world provided with a capillary fibre-optic network connecting residential and business sites.

In terms of business model, Metroweb works as a dark fibre provider, providing to telecoms operators and governmental institutions access to its fibre-optic network, through which they deliver content to their end-customers.
