Kostas Bakoyannis
Senior Advisor

Kostas Bakoyannis is a Senior Advisor of F2i.
He is a strategic consultant with a strong international focus, drawing on extensive experience in public administration, multilateral institutions, and the private sector.
He has held leadership positions as Mayor of Athens (2019–2023) and Governor of Central Greece, after gaining international experience at the World Bank in Kosovo, the European Parliament, and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He actively collaborates with think tanks and global networks, including the ECFR, the European Committee of the Regions, and the UN SDSN network.
He holds a degree in History and International Relations from Brown University (USA, 2000), a Master’s in Public Policy with a specialization in Macroeconomics from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Oxford.
In 2022, he was awarded the title of Grand Officier de l’Ordre de la Couronne by King Philippe of Belgium.
