Water networks

In Italy, more than 40% of the water introduced into the network is lost before reaching users, 60% of pipes are more than 30 years old and 25% are over 50 years old. Financing the sector makes it possible to bridge the gap with other European countries, which record an average dispersion of about half compared to Italy (23%). 

In 2023, IDF1 participated in the pool made up of leading banking and financial institutions that underwrote the loan in favor of a company that manages the integrated water service in Tuscany. The loan provides the financial flexibility necessary to support the implementation of investments aimed at further improving the quality, efficiency and sustainability of the water service.
